Acquired (ABI) Brain Injury Waiver
THE ACQUIRED BRAIN INJURY (ABI) WAIVER PROVIDES NON-MEDICAL HOME AND COMMUNITY-BASED SERVICES THAT ENABLE PEOPLE WITH AN ACQUIRED BRAIN INJURY TO LIVE IN THE COMMUNITY INSTEAD OF INSTITUTIONS AND NURSING HOMES.
Brain Injury is different for each individual, developing an ABI Waiver Program, with services that are specific to the individual needs of each person is done as person-centereded collaborative effort with the survivors and/or conservator, doctors, social worker, clinical staff and others as needed. There is a wide range of services including, but not limited to:

Based on individual needs, help may also be available for:

ABI Waiver services can range from a few hours a day to as much as 24 hours a day, seven days a week depending on the needs of the individual.
